Am I having a boy or a girl?
For those of you who just can’t wait to find out if you are having a boy or a girl – we provide the opportunity to know the gender of your baby as early as 15 weeks. Not that it really matters – but let’s face it – knowing is fun. Something we do that other sites don’t – guarantee accuracy. If we get the gender incorrect – we’ll pay you $250.
It would be great of your insurance covered this fun ultrasound, but they won’t since there is no medical indication. We keep the cost down and perform the ultrasound for only $75. You will get the images texted to any smartphone for keepsake or your own personal gender reveal.
Unfortunately – due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot have family members or friends present for the scan. However, you are welcome to facetime the scan or let us know and we will keep the gender secret and simply send them to a smartphone of your choosing.
Why have your gender ultrasound at Diablo Valley Perinatal?
Because we are an American Institute in Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) accredited, and Callifornia Perinatal Diagnostic Center (PDC) licensed center, we maintain the state of the art equipment and adhere to rigorous standards of ultrasound excellence in prenatal diagnosis. That same attention to detail is applied to your gender ultrasound. Does that seem like overkill for telling you the answer to a simple question – boy or girl? It is. But without that level of excellence and attention to detail – you run a pretty good risk of being told the wrong gender at an outside “entertainment” facility – which we routinely see at the time of their 20 week detailed anatomic survey.
A Perinatologist's Perspective:
Antenatal testing is without a doubt - inconvenient. Twice weekly visits to undergo antenatal testing between 32 weeks and the delivery of your baby is a real time committment and disruptive to work, family and social calendars. As care providers, we empathize. But the benefits of antenatal testing far outweigh the horror of a stillbirth that may have been preventable.
