What are the most common pregnancy complications that result in the need for hospitalization?

Unfortunately, pregnancy complications that result in hospitalization are common and include preterm labor, preterm premature rupture of membranes, preeclampsia, bleeding secondary to placenta previa, placental abruption uncontrolled diabetes, pneumonia, kidney infections and certain multiple gestations.

After going through IVF we were delighted to find out that we were pregnant with twin girls. Unfortunately, my cervix started to open too early and I had to go on bed rest at 19 weeks. Dr Rosa Won was so wonderful in diagnosing the problem and then managing my case. If she had not found the cervical insufficiency we could have lost the twins. It was a scary time but Dr. Won’s compassion, kindness and medical expertise helped put us at ease. We cannot thank her enough for the great care she gave to us.
